Kevin Nelson’s vision for the tower. I love how the tower was hidden in the valley and the back story for it in the final film. But this looks pretty awesome.

This fits in well with that earlier dark vision of “Rapunzel.”

Given that the mood of the tower is overwhelmingly dark and Gothic, I have to imagine that these came from the earlier iterations of the film before Directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno came on board.
