‘Rapunzel number’ lets scientists predict shape of any ponytail – solving a problem posed by Leonardo da Vinci. (Click here for story.)
I wrote an open letter to Glen Keane, creator of “Tangled,” yesterday to thank him for what the film has meant to me. Today, I’m starting a page of personal stories from others similarly touched by “Tangled.” (See This “Tangled” Life page.) I’m starting with submissions by friends Forever Tangled and Major Abbey. Please send me a message if you have a story you’d like to share.

Campanula rapunculus (rampion in English, rapunzel in German) – the real rapunzel flower that gave Rapunzel her name in the Grimm fairy tale.

Hit 200 followers 2 weeks after “Tangled” finally hit $200 million domestic. (Phew!) I love you all. Thanks for following me, and if ever you find yourself wanting something from Corona, I hope I can help you out.

This will be my last post for a while, as I am going on vacation. But through a happy coincidence, I am going to the Baltic Sea coast, which readers of my “Where is Corona?” section will know is the most likely setting for the Kingdom of Corona. I’ll take some pictures and post them when I get back. In the meantime, Rapunzel, if you can send me your address, maybe we all can have have some pie … or hazelnut soup. My daughter would love to meet you and Eugene.
I’ve always been a little disappointed that some bits of the score are not on the soundtrack, such as Mother Gothel’s first ascent into the tower. The biggest oversight, however, is the omission of Alan Menken’s End Credits score. I realize it’s only a medley of themes already on the CD, but it’s amazing.
Do any of you know if there’s a digital version of the End Credits music that’s compatble with an iPod?
This morning, my daughter told me she had a trick she wanted to show me. (Wait for it at 0:09.) I know I’m the dad, but I thought that was pretty cool.
