Never leave the kingdom
Paul Felix concept art from the film’s dark period, including what appears to be the “Blade Runner” version of Corona. Other concept art also suggests that, in earlier scripts, Gothel confronted Rapunzel at the shrine.
Apparently, there are 3,000 villagers on the Corona island. But we only ever see these forty-eight. I swear. Look at any screenshot, and if you see anyone not here, write me. They show up in the castle, in the dances, behind food carts. Everywhere. Thanks to majorabbey for the idea!
I am convinced: The guy in the top image owns the shop in the bottom image. Same glasses, and the guy in the top image has a book, even.
Reason No. 312 why I love “Tangled”: There’s something wonderfully touching about a gruff sailor who works the rigging caring enough to have a lantern of his own.

Maximus is just about to enter your picture. Looking at the fountain square from this perspective in the morning light, it looks completely different from what it did when the four girls braided Rapunzel’s hair the day before.
